VISITFLANDERS aims to make its websites and applications accessible, in accordance with the administrative decree of 7 December 2018 that transposed European Directive 2016/2102.  

This Accessibility Statement was created on 24 April 2026, applies to www.flandersconventionbureau.com and is based on a simplified audit by Inter, the Flemish accessibility expertise centre.

Compliance status  

This website partially meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 level AA  because the criteria below are not met.

Non-accessible content  

Technical issues

  • Some texts, some non-text elements and some images score below the minimum contrast ratio (WCAG 1.4.3).
  • Not all parts of the user interface (such as form elements and links) have a correct name, role or value, as a result of which assistive technologies may experience difficulty navigating (WCAG 4.1.2).

Editorial issues

  • Some complex images do not have a correct alternative description or text alternative (WCAG 1.1.1). 

Improvement plan

The technical issues identified were passed on to the website provider. They will be further examined and adjusted in a subsequent update.
